The Father sometimes brings me to places of great anguish, even to the point of desiring to leave this life (realm) and move on to the next. The word to me in such times is most often, “My grace is sufficient for you.” It also seems that in these times the Father often gives me revelation of the spirit realm.
I think that the wisdom in this (and what I see as the reason for it now) is that there are very dire times ahead for us, beloved, even times in which many people will lose their lives. Because God’s Elect mustn’t fear physical death in these times, it seems that they are now being given some vision for what is beyond physical death.
The Apostle Paul certainly had some vision for this (as I expect that many of the early disciples did too), for how else could he have written “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.”
Anyway, that said, whatever the trials are that lie ahead for us in this world, no matter how painful they may be, beloved, don’t forget that those things are as nothing when they are compared to the glory that is being worked in us through those things. Those things are working towards A BETTER RESURRECTION for us.
Get a load of this…
The book of Hebrews tells us of great heroes of the faith who were tortured (not accepting their release) so that they might obtain A BETTER RESURRECTION. It says that these people suffered great mockings and scourgings, chains and imprisonment, some were stoned, some were sawn in two, all were greatly tempted, some were put to death by the sword, some went about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted and ill-treated. It says that these were men of whom the world was not worthy! It tells of these men wandering in deserts and mountains and sleeping in caves – sleeping in holes in the ground because of their walk of faith and obedience to God!
Wow! Why do so many of us today think that God would allow them to go through such things and not us? Think about that for a moment…
I really think that we need to buckle up our spiritual seat-belts, beloved, for God has something very special in store for us that we too might gain approval from Him, even attain A BETTER RESURRECTION.
Our conferences and our Bibles studies have been quite good, but that stuff alone (even in combination with the what most of us have suffered up until now) is not going to get us to the New Jerusalem state. No, that, I suspect, is going to take some faith building of biblical proportion.
