“For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.” (1 Timothy 4:10)
Beloved, the real Good News Gospel is that Christ died for the sins of the world, was buried, and then was raised on the third day. Forgiveness of sin is achieved BY GOD in the giving up of His Son in death for us ALL. Salvation itself is not achieved by us in our believing, but rather, believing is simply the channel through which God starts the process in which He grants to us what has already been gained for us all at Calvary. Are you with me?
When we read in 1 Timothy 4:10 that God is the Savior of all mankind, the whole theory of eternal damnation is pretty much shattered, for in there is revealed that Jesus Christ has already paid the price for every sinning individual that has ever lived or will ever live. Each individual must eventually come to the place where they actually believe on the Savior though, for this is the only way for the kingdom that is “within man” to be activated (remember that it was to the unbelieving Pharisees that Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is within you”).
I hope that you can see in this that the current “believers salvation” is a very “special” one indeed, but it is not an exclusive one, as ALL OF MANKIND will someday “believe” in the Lord Jesus Christ (there will be no “unbelievers” at the Great White Throne Judgment. I can assure you that. All will surely know then that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father!).
Beloved, many changes must come to the body of Christ in regard to their understanding of salvation, of future judgment, and of the glory of God, and these changes will not come easy to those who all their lives have been spoon fed the erroneous traditions of men. In gaining appreciation of the God who is the Savior of all mankind, the overall Christian salvation experience is greatly enhanced, for the surpassing riches of God’s grace in His kindness toward all men is far better expressed through those who actually understand the true gospel of God’s love and grace.
Dear friends, the above quoted scripture verse from the book of 1 Timothy reveals quite explicitly that there is a breadth and length and height and depth to the riches of God’s love and grace that is not revealed in most of today’s “Christian” teachings about salvation. Because of this my prayer for us is that we all might soon come to know the love that the Father has for ALL of His creation, and this so that we might better be able to not only love God with all of our hearts, but so that we’ll be able to love our neighbors (which is all of mankind) with all of our hearts, too.
To God be the glory in His church, and in Christ Jesus to ALL generations, forever and ever.
