There Are No Miracles In Heaven

Beloved, after all that has been shared recently, I feel led to just say here that we should know that signs and miracles are of themselves NEUTRAL, and are not an indication of great spirituality. Think about this for a moment; Jesus’ disciples healed the sick and drove out demons before they were even baptized in the Holy Spirit, and many people of many different types of religions do very similar things today.

The point that I feel led to make here is; when signs and wonders point people to the greater things that are in the mind and heart of God (worship in Spirit and Truth), then we can do nothing but rejoice and be glad and give God praise. On the other hand, when healing or other miracles are used to promote a man’s ministry or an organization, or when people seem to seek after those things more than they do God Himself, then we really need to beware.

It was Jesus Himself, friends, who warned us that if our eyes are on signs and wonders and miracles then we will be open to deception. He said that if we fix our eyes on those things then we are in danger of becoming a part of what He called “a wicked and adulterous generation.”

Yes, Jesus used the word “adulterous” to show us that when people turn from worshipping the Father in Spirit and Truth to worshipping the gifts that God gives them, or the miracles that He performs for them, then they are guilty of committing spiritual adultery. In essence He said that when men turn away from the invisible God (and His Truth) to worship anything that their natural eyes can see, then those things that they see (even healing miracles) become idols to them!

Now in this day when many are being drawn to all sorts of signs and wonders and supernatural things, it is wise for us to not get overly enthusiastic about those things, but rather, we should continually discern what is going on around us in the spirit realm that we might know what is the heart of the Father in the midst of the signs and wonders. AS priests and kings unto God WE have been raised with Christ and are NOW seated at the right hand of the Father in the spirit realm! So let us set our hearts and minds on the things that are above and not on earthly signs and wonders. Yes, signs and wonders can be good, and they can glorify God, but let us not forget that they are still earthly things! Beloved, there is no such thing as miracles in heaven. Those things are given to earthly men, just to let them know that heaven exists.

Someone wrote in …

“What did you mean by the disciples healed the sick and drove out demons before they were even baptized in the HS? Did not Jesus give them the authority to do this? Just inquiring as to your meaning.”

(in response)

They were not baptized in the Spirit until the fullness of Pentecost came. The point that I was trying to make is that what the disciples were doing was not to be considered a big deal. Jesus drove that point home to His disciples over and over and over again. You’d think that we also would get it by now. MIRACLES are NOT supposed to be a big deal to those who walk with God. And in regard to “people of other religions doing similar things,” if you remember, even Egypt’s magicians could turn their rods into snakes as Moses did. Even so, most Satanists and witches today can perform “miracles.” The point being; we should be doing these things (casting out demons, healing the sick, raising the dead, etc.) but only by the authorization of the Father. It is those who are led by the SPIRIT of God who are are THE SONS OF GOD! Miracles ARE NOT evidence that someone is walking with God!

It’s interesting to note that where most translations quote Jesus as saying “In that day many will say to me, ‘But Lord, did we not do this and that in your name? (I’m paraphrasing here),'” and He then said to them, “Depart from Me you workers of iniquity,” some translations have that second part as, “Depart from Me. The things that you did were unauthorized.”

Something for us to think about.
