Stretched

Scripture tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Jesus, the Son of God, and the fullness of the Father’s expression, said that if we will just believe on Him and learn to walk in His ways then NOTHING will be impossible for us. Do we really believe this? To be honest, I sometimes have my doubts, but God is dealing with those doubts now (in sometimes rather ferocious ways).

Now, the Father and the Son are not men that They should lie to us, nor are They mere sons of men that They should change Their mind about things that They have promised us. So, when Jesus says to us, “For those who believe, EVERYTHING is possible,” we should wholeheartedly believe Him, shouldn’t we? That is a promise to us from the Lord Himself, and as far as I understand it, ALL of God’s promises to us in Him are “Yea and Amen.” So why do we doubt Him as we do? I really don’t know … vestiges of the adamic nature that still need to be dealt with, I guess.

Along these lines, I feel compelled these days like never before to seek the Lord for such a deep and thorough inner cleansing and purging that NOTHING of any dark sort will be able to be found in me. Is this possible? Can we really come to a place in God where we, like Jesus, can say, “The prince of this world is coming but he has nothing on me. There is NO darkness in me, so Satan cannot touch me in a way that is harmful to me spiritually” (this is a paraphrase, of course)? I believe that we can. I really do.

Let me say this again: Jesus said that if we will just BELIEVE then NOTHING will be impossible for us! Did He really mean NOTHING? … or did He mean almost nothing? I think that He meant just what He said, and that means that BY FAITH IT IS POSSIBLE for us to walk in holiness and righteousness HERE AND NOW. Now I’m not there, but every molecule of my being is now crying out to get to such a place in Him, and I care not what the cost is of attaining to such a place. I am willing to go through anything to get there. That is probably why life has been so FAITH S–T–R–E–T-C–H–I–N–G lately.

Anyway, beloved, I think that it’s about time now for some of us to TRUST GOD like never before and pray rather dangerously, to pray (cry out to Him now with all of our being) to be cleansed from everything that is not of Christ, and have NO FEAR of how God might do that. I have written before that this kind of prayer is like a DOORBELL outside of the Most Holy Place. It is that fragrant incense on the altar which rises up to bless God, a sacrificial cry even, which proclaims to God that we (without reservation because of cost) want to COME IN! It says to Him that we really mean business and want to come into the glory!

I pray for us, beloved, that we who are willing to entrust all that we are into GOD’S hands AND LIVE AS SACRIFICES might soon be brought beyond the last veil into God’s fullness. I want to know Him in the power of His resurrection, don’t you? I don’t care what the cost is, do you? I may kick and scream a bit in the fire at times, but deep down, I want to KNOW HIM. I want to be SWALLOWED UP entirely in Him, and there is nothing that I won’t give up to that end. Nothing. How about you?

Bless ya.
