Created In the Image Of Elohim

Because a few people have recently mentioned the following passage of scripture as a proof text that human beings were created in God’s image, I feel led to comment on it…

Then Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” …[So] Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim He created him, male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:26-27)

I propose to you here, Beloved, that this passage of scripture gives us a glimpse into the origin of CO-CREATIVE SPIRITS (created in the likeness and image of Creator/Elohim who is SPIRIT) and also a glimpse into the mystery of the Male-Female Principle (as in the original Creation). Men and women on Earth now each contain a mixture of both male and female attributes – a man is physically a more male version of the human gender mix, and a woman is physically a more female version. The Father Creator Principle (“El” – Hebrew), however, is ENERGETICALLY (formlessly) pure male and works in synchronicity with the pure Female Principle (“Eloah” – Hebrew), which can be called the Mother Creator Principle.

“ELOHIM” is the exact balance/union between these male and female creative principles, and it also represents the dimension where the templates of consciousness exist for “Let US make man in Our Image, according to Our likeness.” This “dimension” (for not knowing what else to call it) is where the marriage between Original Thought (El) and Original Feeling (Eloah) exists, and this is the combination (or perfect formula) which births MANIFESTATION and which even gave birth to “the Son” (which is CHRIST). In other words, the fundamental formula of creation is; “thought plus feeling equals manifestation,” and “the likeness and image of God” in which man was originally made is; AS SPIRIT, WITH THE ATTRIBUTES OF MASCULINITY AND FEMININITY AND WITH THE ABILITY TO CREATE WITH THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS!

I also propose to you here that in contrast to Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:7 DOES NOT represent man’s origin, but it represents his DECLINE into a lower state of consciousness and into a denser form of being – an energetic condensation, of sorts, unto him becoming “a living soul” with a flesh body. Man apparently declined even more from that state of being by choosing to know “good and evil” – the consciousness of duality. This, of course, is symbolically represented in Adam and Eve being “cast out of Eden.”

As far as I see it, the divine intention behind all of this is multifaceted, but basically, it is so that these created “self-aware” adamic beings would be given an opportunity to learn and grow by exercising their freewill in a 3D world and by seeing the results of their choices out-pictured there. There is also an aspect to this (and to God Himself) where God learns and grows by creating beings, worlds and universes out of His own Being and Consciousness. I’m not talking here about the state/nature of God which is of PURE BEING and which is completely WITHOUT CHANGE because it is WITHOUT FORM, but of the aspect of God that is THE SUPREME CREATOR who has encapsulated His/Her own Consciousness and Being WITHIN FORM in order to EVOLVE and GROW and to experience SELF-TRANSCENDENCE.

Back to adamic man for a moment; the thing is that learning by way of the 3D world “school of hard knocks” is NOT enough for man to “get back” to even a fairly right state of mind (though he can make progress), so the MIND OF CHRIST is made available to him in the innermost depths of himself and by way of his self-denial (the disciple’s cross). This is not only so that man can “find his way back” either, but so that he can find his way to his place AS A SON OF GOD (one who consciously dwells in the fullness of Christ) and to his place of ETERNALLY CO-CREATING WITH GOD within the framework of His divine laws (in other words, Folks, there is no longer any misappropriation of divine energy in this awesome place/state of being).

In brief summary; it was spirits with creative ability that came forth from God in the likeness of Elohim (Genesis 1:26-27), and the story of the Garden of Eden (especially Genesis 2:7) is more than likely A SYMBOL – a parable for what happened to the collective consciousness of some beings a long time after that. In other words, Adam and Eve most likely represent a critical mass of beings who “fell” from a high level of collective consciousness, something much higher than you see on this planet today, but something that’s not very advanced when it is compared to where we’re being taken by the Spirit in Christ (hence – the purpose for all of this). — D
